Western Civilization Essay Contest

Students enrolled in any section or format of Western Civilization I or II during the 2015-2016 academic year are invited to enter the Western Civilization essay contest.  Entries should consist of a paper prepared for a class assignment on a Western Civilization topic, reading or author. Entries must be submitted with the advice and consent  of the Western Civilization instructor. 

A cash award of $250.00 will be made to the contest winner at the annual Humanities Program recognition ceremony, which will be held on April 27, 2016, 4-6PM .
Instructions for submission :
The essay must include a cover sheet with the student’s name and KUID along with the instructor’s name and the class number of the Western Civilization section. No names or other identification should appear on the paper itself. Papers should be 500-1200 words in length, typed, double-spaced, with one-inch margins
Submission Date:  No later than 5:00 PM April 14, 2016 in paper copy to the Humanities Program Office –308 Bailey Hall
